Sun Moon Lake HongYun Black Tea 50g
日月潭紅韻紅茶
About The Tea
Developed from a cross of Qimen and Indian Kyang cultivars, Tai Cha No. 21 (known as Hong Yun or Red Rhyme) is a modern Taiwanese black tea with remarkable depth. Its dark, twisted leaves yield a rich mahogany liquor carrying aromas of honey, fennel, and eucalyptus, layered with spiced plum. The flavour is bold and substantial, revealing bittersweet fruit, baked apple, and savoury dried tomato, underpinned by fine, complex tannins. A velvety mouthfeel leads to a long, clean finish, where hints of mint, aromatic spice, and citrus linger. A tea to be savoured slowly balancing strength, refinement, and poetic warmth.
